Tuesday

Seeing as it's Wordless Wednesday, (does anyone still do that nonsense?) and I find myself with not enough time, energy, bite or real desire to crawl out from inside my big hollow head I thought I'd share the scenes from just another Tuesday night......

Maybe the reason I can't find the desire to write is because I am so freaking, satiated. Sigh...

Was invited to share in a very special birthday celebration for our beloved Dale Kemner last night. A woman that is not only my boss, the voice in my head that inspires me to do that one extra thing, she has been the nurturing woman in my life for the past, oh I don't know, 17 years. I remarkable woman, clearly, just look at the feast that awarded us in her honor.

Thank you Carl and Pam Taylor for what is sure to be a meal we will talk about for a decade, then we can come back and do it all over again!

What a night....

I was gonna invite myself to your house next Tuesday night .... oh, well. It looks (looked?) wonderful!

Marcia,
It was sublime, really. The wines off the charts intriguing, the food so perfectly subtle and wine suited and the company...been a long time since I smiled for that long. I'm jealous of me now too.

webb,
It was truly lovely. So funny, you think, "On a Tuesday?" with suspicion or confusion when these things are announced or offered but...why the fuck not? Made my Tuesday far better than it would have been and I actually crumbled into bed earlier than I normally would. Win, wine and more win.

Wow. Now that's a truly magical, wonderful celebration! What a vicarious treat, and thanks for sharing . . . the photos are literally mouthwatering.

pvtrailrunner,
It was something I really have to say. I think the pairing of the night had to be the seared scallop with a 2007 Francois Chidaine Les Argiles Vouvray. Wasn't the most decadent or profound but those two things in my mouth, sublime. Thanks for enjoying along with me, via pictures that is.
