100 Point Scale

Oh wait, I forgot....don't give a shit. You know what bothers me most about this topic, the fact that it is one of like five subjects that wine bloggers talk about. Jesus. Horse is dead already and you my friend, are looking a little blue in the face. And now there is some retarded online manifesto? So you go on and vow to never use points to buy or sell wine again...or what? They will remove your fake ass signature from their website, proclaim you a weenie and kick you out of their virtual fort?

Lame and might I just add, pointless.

I was contacted to sign this thing right after they started. They must have thought that since I am obviously a contrarian, and have criticized the mis-use of the scale before, that I agree with them.

Not.

My Gorgeous Samantha,

Is there a contract somewhere to stop reading wine blogs?

When did Grover Norquist get into the wine business?

Don't worry, Love, you can't expect Poodles to think for themselves.

I love you!

Sorry, but I made a vow and signed a contract never to make a vow and sign a contract.

Don't people in the wine blogging world have anything else to do?

Thomas,
Take a gander at STEVE!'s latest post and comment section, it is there that you will find the answer you seek.

Sam,

Steve who?

Just kidding. I went over there--gimme a break!

Skimmed through the diatribes. One thing I noticed: Steve still responds only to select comments, and the majority of them are the ones that flatter his point.

I don't understand why a person starts an argument and then refuses to argue with the opposition. But then, I don't understand all the time wasted arguing over nonsense.

I give the whole wine blogging world 65 points, for showing up.

Thomas,
I look at a post like that, and the comments and I ask myself, "Now what is the definition of insanity again?". I don't ever want to stop writing but I sure as shit don't mind not being thought of as a wine blogger.

So sorry I missed this post initially. I was relaxing in my villa in Tuscany, having just completed my nightly ritual of giving my hair 10,000 strokes with a brush made from the bones of lesser critics.

I don't care about points. Giving consumers a frame of reference is nice, but it can just get too subjective to the critics' tastes. They can probably pick out "varietal correctness" and faults, but it's still too subjective.

Bill,
I like forts too, just prefer to build my own if you know what I'm sayin'

Joe,
That was The Awesome.
