Um, the Lakers are not out of the woods yet, did you happen to see the ass reaming they took from these youngsters the other night....dude, ugly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Odom continues to show up and Kobe is managing his Ball Hog Addiction. Damn I love the playoffs!
Tough day, indeed. I particularly liked the bit you posted on Steve Heimoff's blog about a three hour rant with your lovin' hubby having to suffer through it.
If I ever get my hands on those nasty bastards who upset you, I will have an unkind word for them. Any idea who they were?
And whatever happened to your friend who spelled Dugan with two "d's"? I think she was a quieter sort. Kind of kept to herself. Didn't really say much.
Oh well, Sam, this too will pass, and, no, it is not Friday. But, as a Celtics fan of long-standing, and one who proudly wears his green T-shirt with " Beat LA" emblazoned on it, I wish your Lakers the worst of luck. Oh, and your Dodgers, Angels, Kings and Rams as well.
You are too sweet but as it turns out I misunderstood those comments over there on Steve's blog...too many days off and I get trigger happy and junk. So save those unkind words for next time, I'm sure I will need them. Turns out my friend that spelled my name with two "G's" was talking to the other Samantha, Samantha Duggan...easy mistake to make, so I don't think "she" will be commenting here any longer. Celtics?! Oh Daddy, say it aint so! Dagger, a dagger right through my heart. This too shall pass and I will find some way to forgive you. As to those other teams, I hate baseball, the Kings are thankfully dead, (hubby is a huge fan and I loathe hockey) and I just happen to be a Colts fan so we are all good there. Oh and Daddy....I simply adore you. Face full of tiny kisses Sam
I grew up with the Lakers of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt and the late, great Chick Hearn. They never beat the Celtics, OK they won one NBA title back then, but it remains one of the great rivalries in sports and they were fun to watch. I also liked the Magic, Worthy and Kareem Lakers. But I can't say I like basketball at all any more, and, for all his talent, I loathe Kobe the Milk-fed beefer. I hope you can forgive me. You know I only love baseball. And You.
I'll give you one thing though. Better a basketball-loving President than one that once owned a baseball franchise.
TWG, I was not a football fan before watching Manning and his receivers...so not sure how to answer that, guess I am a Colts fan because of Manning.
Ron My Love, I know, I know you hate basketball and for that I have already forgiven you but dude, you had to take a cheap shot at kobe?! C'mon Baby, work with me here....I try not to mock your gold rope wearing, always on the DL, steroid puffy baseball guys. I agree about the Celtics Lakers rivalry, I grew up with it and have raised my son to loathe the Celtics, (not to easy for either of us as we both like KG...but Pierce more than makes up for it) one of the greatest rivalries in sports history....if you like basketball or not. I adore you kid!
Well Shrub and the Bushwackers have put me off that noble game, probably for life. Also not especially fond of watching a bunch of pituitary cases running back and forth imitating a humanoid knockoff of Pong, but gotta admit I do get sucked into watching the playoffs.
maybe, just maybe, Hawks/Lakers in the finals if the Hawks can learn to play basketball on the road.
ReplyDeleteYes, I will take my wishful thinking and run with it.

ReplyDeleteI know nothing of basketball (or most other team sports for that matter), but I sure do love the spanking references!
