But it took until today for me to get the very clever "voices that called us for dinner." Pitch perfect; spot on imagery. A sweet ride and a sweet piece.
WtEWiney The Elderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05001243018087143378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819829113979242722.post-3298695979218789342014-06-25T13:10:57.409-07:002014-06-25T13:10:57.409-07:00I'm really glad skateboards have improved...ju...I'm really glad skateboards have improved...just sorry they didn't in my youth.
With the old ones, like Ron described, we went into space more often than the Cosmonauts and Astronauts combined...Alfonso Cevolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16983431475848714789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819829113979242722.post-32438103915089265302014-06-24T22:23:17.426-07:002014-06-24T22:23:17.426-07:00Dale,

I was hoping to capture, or recapture I should say, a tiny bit of that feeling for anyone that might read this. I wrote it very late last night/early this morning so I've not yet had the fortitude but I thank you so much for doing so! The only thing missing (for me) was the sound of an ice cream truck and of bicycle wheels thip-thip-thipping of bubble gum cards clothes-pinned to the frame.

Thank YouAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06408613383986124620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819829113979242722.post-72896486764128809012014-06-24T20:26:29.362-07:002014-06-24T20:26:29.362-07:00Ron My Love,

That and you get me in a way that very few others, if any, do and that is a gift I can never repay...and something that makes me love you more all the time.

I had been reading and listening to a bunch of muttering wine garbage about "The Next New Thing" and people making wine to suit a changing demographic and it just seemed like such meaningless navel gazing and self important blowharding. Ugh. Make something that you want, love, inspires you and there will be an audience that is seeking the same feeling you are. Just seems pretty organic to me but much like life, love, food and fucking, people have to believe they are the first to think of or feel that way. Silly really....and clearly wrapped up too tight in my dizzy little brain, so thank you for letting me flush! I love you sweet man. Fresh air, and fresh perspec...My Gorgeous Samantha,
Fresh air, and fresh perspectives, can be hard to come by in our hectic adult lives.

When we were kids, so back in the very early '60's, my brother and I had skateboards my Dad had made from some old plywood and the wheels from my sister's outgrown roller skates. Oh, man, they were sad. I can't count how many times we'd be flying down a sidewalk and the smallest little pebble would stop the wheels from rolling, and we'd go flying into space and, with some luck, land on grass instead of pavement. Those were pretty crappy skateboards, but we loved them.

It sure gets harder to play when you grow up, find that fresh air and freedom. But I do find fresh air here, Love, whenever you write. Even some heart thumping, too. You're right, you don't have to reinvent the wheel to find fresh air, you just have to ride it until you wear it out, and see where you end up.

I love you.Ron Washam, HMWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11238869156614617705noreply@blogger.com
